Saskatoon, SK, March 5, 2018: Following the 2015 air terminal expansion, Skyxe Saskatoon Airport (Skyxe) continues to enhance its world-class air travel facility. In 2018, Skyxe will be updating curbside and parking options with a significant groundside construction project.

PCL is the general contractor for the project, with many local subcontractors involved. The project is comprised of a phased approach that will affect all access in, out and around the front of the air terminal building. Through construction, parking will be available in the main P1 lot, P2 and P3 (shuttle) parking lots. Limited pick up and drop off space will remain available on the curb. Construction is scheduled to be completed in late October 2018.

Skyxe strongly encourages all airport guests to allow for extra time at the airport to accommodate any disruptions to airport terminal building access. Signage and arrows will help direct traffic and passenger flow.

“With the vision of being Canada’s most valued airport experience, Skyxe Saskatoon Airport is enhancing our guest’s experience when accessing our airport from the ground,” says Stephen Maybury, President and CEO of Skyxe Saskatoon Airport. “The groundside access project will provide enduring capacity, address aging infrastructure and provide more options to our guests.

The new curbside experience will facilitate ample, efficient pick up and drop off space for both passenger and commercial vehicles. In addition, the new parking options and associated technologies will enhance our guest’s ability to choose the parking product that best fits their needs.
