The Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce (the “Chamber”), in its capacity as a Nominator, and the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of the Saskatoon Airport Authority (the “SAA”), are soliciting interest from qualified current Chamber Members to fill two upcoming vacancies on the SAA Board beginning in May, 2021.
Prospective SAA Board members will be evaluated against certain established criteria for Board membership (see the SAA website, www.skyxe.ca, under By-laws) encompassing career experience, education, and certain requisite skill sets. The Chamber and the Board both recognize that it is valuable to the effectiveness of the Board that its membership respects the diversity of the community that it serves.
In this recruitment cycle the SAA Board is recruiting for one nominee with experience in Hospitality/Tourism, and one nominee with a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, with both nominees demonstrating substantial experience in business. Additionally, during a nominee’s term, nominees shall maintain in good standing a Chamber membership. The Board meets quarterly. Directors also attend at least two (2) Committee meetings each quarter, and the Annual General Meeting. Board members receive an annual retainer and a per meeting attendance fee.
