Saskatoon, SK: Today, Saskatoon Airport Authority (SAA) welcomes Susan Milburn as the new Chair of the Board of Directors and Kaylynn Schroeder as the Board Vice-Chair. The Saskatoon Airport Authority is also pleased to announce the nomination of Barbara Crowe to its Board of Directors.
Additionally, today the Board announced the retirement of long-standing Board member David Weger, who has served on the Board for nine years. “We are grateful for Dave’s commitment and direction,” says Stephen Maybury, President and CEO of Skyxe Saskatoon Airport. “Dave has devoted a significant amount of time and effort to our Board, especially during the last three years as Chair, in which he helped navigate the Corporation through the Covid-19 pandemic and recovery. We deeply appreciate his leadership and will greatly miss his expertise.”
The nomination of Ms. Crowe to the Board was made public today by David Weger at the Annual Public Meeting. Ms. Crowe was nominated by the City of Saskatoon and replaces David Weger.
“We are pleased to welcome Ms. Crowe to our Board,” states Susan Milburn, newly appointed Board Chair. “She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the travel industry and will be an invaluable asset to the Board as we further the Saskatoon Airport Authority’s vision to be Canada’s most valued airport experience.”

About Barb Crowe
Barb Crowe was born and raised in Saskatoon. Travel is her passion and she has been in this industry for over four decades.
Barb has worked in the retail, airline and tour operator sides of the business. She has been a Prairie Region Sales Representative with Canadian Holidays, Director of Sales and Marketing with Athabaska/Transwest Airways, and Business Development Manager with Transat Holidays.
In 2008, Barb purchased Ixtapa Travel, Saskatoon. The business grew from a team of 3 to a team of 40 in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. In 2019, she sold her company to a publicly traded company, Flight Centre out of Australia.
Barb’s experience on Boards include terms with WestJet Travel Agent Advisory Board and Tourism Saskatoon. Her most rewarding Board Experience was five years on the Ensemble Travel Group Board, representing over 800 Travel Agencies in North America and Australia. Barb served Skyxe for a number of years on the Community Consultative Committee and Air Services Group. She recently wrapped up a 10-year campaign with Global TV Saskatoon as their Travel Expert.
Today Barb’s passion for travel has her hosting groups to various destinations.
