Summer Holiday Travel Means Longer Wait Times
Summer is a busy travel season at the Airport and the increase in the number of air travelers may result in longer lineups and wait times at the security screening checkpoint during peak departure times. It’s important to get to the airport early, particularly if you are on an early morning flight.
5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. is peak departure time at the Airport and airlines are under a lot of pressure to get their flights launched on time. The Airport is recommending checking in 90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time and proceeding through security screening as soon as possible.
The Airport also recommends travelers consult the CATSA website for useful information on “What to Wear” and “How to Pack”. (www.catsa.gc.ca and CATSA mobile website at http://m.catsa.gc.ca.)
