Saskatoon, SK: Saskatoon Airport Authority (SAA) announced today it has awarded the 10 year contract for Taxicab and Airporter Service for the Saskatoon Airport to United Blueline Company. Four submissions were received as a result of the public call for proposals. Final selection was based on determining the proposal that offered the best comprehensive customer service approach.
“The entire focus throughout the awarding of this contract is the level of customer service at the airport, remarked Bill Restall, President and CEO of the SAA. “This includes reducing the wait times by ensuring there are sufficient vehicles to meet the demands of travelers.
The SAA will continue to provide the services of a Taxi Coordinator to manage the ground transportation at the Airport. “Since its inception last year, this position has served to significantly reduce wait times for taxis at the airport.” Other initiatives have also been introduced including allowing an “open stand” for limousine service and reducing the annual fee for this service.
