December Travel Guidelines

The holidays are a time for family, friends, fun, and festivities… not travel frustration! While flying during the holidays this year beat unnecessary stress by following these quick and easy travel tips.

Scope out where to park. Skyxe Saskatoon Airport has 2 parking options.

Main parking lot (P1): With over 1000 stalls and the amenities of free temperature controlled plug-ins for your engine block heater in most stalls, the Skyxe parking lot is a win-win for traveler’s wanting to leave their vehicle while away.

jetSet parking lot (P2): Ideal for travelers looking for a more economical parking option, however this lot does not have electrified stalls for your engine block heater.

For more information on our parking lot and our rates, please visit our website.

Arrive early. While it may work in some situations, airlines will not accept being fashionably late as a reason to hold a flight. With all the crisscrossing happening around the world from one airport to the next during this time of the year, airlines follow a very tight schedule. To avoid any added time constraints, make sure to arrive at the airport 90 minutes before your boarding time for domestic flights and 120 minutes before boarding for international flights. While you are here, check out some of our post-security amenities in the terminal.

For more information on Skyxe’s shopping and dining see our website.

Streamline your arrival by checking in online and pre-printing your own boarding passes. That way all you have to do at the airport is head straight to the baggage line

Speaking of baggage, make sure to look into any checked baggage restrictions and costs with your airline. Also, make sure to keep your gifts unwrapped. Wrapped gifts may need to be unwrapped when going through security so plan to wrap presents at your destination.

Bring valid ID for everyone in your travel party, including children and infants. Make sure you have the right documentation needed for the country that you are visiting. For further information check with your airline on what to bring where.
