December Travel Guidelines 2017

While flying during the holidays this year, we encourage you to follow these quick and easy travel tips.

Tip #1: More time = less stress!

Due to high holiday traffic, the airport gets very busy with extra and full flights. Allow extra time for parking, checking in, and going through security. To avoid any added time constraints, make sure to arrive at the airport 90 minutes before your boarding time for domestic flights and 120 minutes before boarding for international flights. Please note that due to an increase in US security measures, flights direct to the US will be subject to additional screening at check-in, the screening area, and boarding. While you are here, check out some of our post-security amenities in the terminal. For more information on Skyxe’s shopping and dining see our website.

Tip #2: Scope out where to park.

Skyxe Saskatoon Airport has 2 parking options.

  • Main parking lot (P1): With over 1000 stalls and the amenities of free temperature controlled plug-ins for your engine block heater in most stalls, the Skyxe parking lot is a win-win for traveler’s wanting to leave their vehicle while away.
  • Our P2 parking lot is ideal for proximity to the terminal, however this lot does not have electrified stalls for your engine block heater.

For more information on our parking lot and our rates, please visit our website at https://skyxe.ca/parking

Tip #3: Check-in from home.

Streamline your arrival by checking in online and pre-printing your own boarding passes. That way all you have to do at the airport is head straight to the baggage line.

Tip #4: Research any checked baggage restrictions and costs with your airline.

Make sure to keep your gifts unwrapped. Wrapped gifts may need to be unwrapped when going through security so plan to wrap presents at your destination.

Tip #5: Bring valid ID for everyone in your travel party, including children and infants.

Make sure you have the right documentation needed for the country that you are visiting. For further information check with your airline on what to bring where.
